ich arbeite auch mit OS X (auf Arbeit), hatte nie Probleme mit Internet, ich benutze Firefox was sich bislang als sehr gut erwiesen hat. Läuft damit einwandfrei.

p.s. ich hab bei mir mal bisschen nachgeforscht, also da gibt's ein Dossier das heisst Safari, wenn du da drauf klickst kommst auf diverse Unterdossiers und da drin findest du eins das nennt sich Bookmarks.plist, was ich zwar nicht öffnen kann (keine Berechtigung).
Denke mal das dürfte das sein wonach du suchst. Bei mir ist das Dossier Safari unter Bibliothèque zu finden (hab mein System auf Französisch). Hast du auch System 9 und 10 bei dir drauf? Ich arbeite noch mit beiden gleichzeitig.
ich hab da noch was anderes gefunden, wenn du auf Sherlock gehst und Bookmarks eingibtst wirft's dir ein Haufen Zeugs raus, unter anderem habe ich das hier gefunden :

Safari 1.0: Importing bookmarks from other browsers

The first time you open Safari, it automatically imports your bookmarks from Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla, and Netscape Navigator.
Safari does not automatically import bookmarks from browsers other than Internet Explorer, Mozilla, and Netscape Navigator. You might be able to move your bookmarks to Safari from a different browser by exporting them as an HTML document, which you could then open in Safari. Try dragging the links to a collection in the All Bookmarks view in another window.
When automatic import does not occur
Automatic import from Internet Explorer, Mozilla, or Netscape Navigator will not occur if you have moved the bookmarks file from its default location, or if you have placed an alias in the path to the bookmarks.
The default Netscape or Mozilla bookmarks file is:
~/Library/Mozilla/Profiles/default/bookmarks.html
The default Internet Explorer bookmarks file is:
~/Library/Preferences/Explorer/Favorites.html
To force Safari to import your bookmarks, simulate using Safari for the first time. Following these steps causes Safari to reimport bookmarks for both Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Netscape Navigator. If you have already successfully imported bookmarks from one browser but not the other, you only need to use the step below (4 or 6) that corresponds to the browser from which bookmarks have not yet been imported.
Follow these steps:
1. Quit Safari if it is open.
2. Drag the target bookmark files back to their original location.
3. Open Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/).
4. Type: defaults delete com.apple.Safari NetscapeAndMozillaFavoritesWereImported
5. Press Return.
6. Type: defaults delete com.apple.Safari IEFavoritesWereImported
7. Press Return.
8. Quit Terminal.
9. Open Safari.
Imported bookmarks go into a collection named "Imported Netscape/MozillaFavorites" or "Imported IE Favorites". If such a collection already exists, they are merged into the contents of the existing collection.

Auf meinem Mac habe ich halt nicht alle Berechtigungen, die hat nur der Chef. Ich habe auch ein Handbuch OS X (das ich nie benutze), aber da steht auch nichts drin. Hoffe ich konnte dir etwas helfen.
